Regulations for entering Hungary - updated on 18th November 2021
New! From Saturday 20th November 2021: Compulsory mask again in healthcare facilities and public transport, in shops, shopping malls, post offices, customer service, theaters, cinemas, museums and sporting events.
The EU Covid certificates have been accepted in Hungary since July 1, 2021. With the EU certificates you can enter Hungary with all means of transport without restriction.
NEW! From 20th November 2021, Saturday: In addition to healthcare facilities and public transport, masks will again have to be worn in shops, shopping malls, post offices, customer service, theaters, cinemas, museums and sporting events. At indoor cultural and other events, gyms, swimming pools, spas, and catering shops, employees must wear a mask. There are new regulations for entry into Hungary from July 1st, 2021. Due to the continuing favorable trend of the Covid-19 situation, entry into Hungary is possible again. The EU Covid certificates have been accepted in Hungary since July 1, 2021. With the EU certificates you can enter Hungary with all means of transport without restriction. Covid certificates can also be issued in Switzerland. (These are compatible with the EU certificates since July 9th, 2021. They are issued for both vaccinated and tested people.)
