Fauna J.S.C. manages a 30,000 ha hunting area. The hunting area is east of Budapest and easiliy reached by car in one hour. The area is rich in natural treasures and lies on the Hevesi Plains, which are to be found between the valley of the Tisza River and the Matrá and Bükk Mountains in northern Hungary.

The area has a diverse biotope, ranging from the water of the Tisza Lake to the dry salt plains. The Tisza Lake of 9,000 ha belongs to the hunting area, where in the surrounding areas valuable, rare and endangered bird species such as the saker falcon, harriers and greater bustards live, which are the ‘greatest treasure’. Several thousand ducks are shot on the lake each year. There is a good population of roe deer in the hunting area. Hunters can shoot many good trophy bucks in spring. The hunting area is excellent for small game and has an excellent 8,000 reputation for the well organised pheasant shoots. Each year, 8,000 pheasants and 1,000 hares are shot on drives and walked-up shoots. Near the hotel there is a 300 ha fenced area where wild boar hunting is available.
The hunting guests are accommodated in the Hotel Fauna. The hotel, situated in a 2 ha arboretum, is the perfect environment for hunters, anglers as well as guests who just want to relax. In the main building there are 22 bedrooms, in addition to that holiday cottages and two villas are available for guests. In the comfortable twin and three-bed rooms there is a television set and a minibar. The hotel restaurant serves local specialities: venison as well as Hungarian and international dishes. For the non-hunting companions there is a sauna, swimming pool and playroom, as well as organized excursions into the countryside: a boat trip on the River Tisza, or wine degustation in Eger.
