The Bóly J.S.C. is one of the most successful agricultural corporate groups in Hungary. The management of the group supports the work of game management and tourism in both the classical and traditional hunting methods. In 2005, the area was rewarded by the government for its work in this field.

The game management area is 27,856 hectares. The hunting area is a mixture with farmland and the red deer population forms ecologically a whole with the red deer population of Béda-Karapancsa and Ormánság. The migration of the red deer to Bellye in Croatia is also of importance.
It is characteristic for the excellent red deer conservation that in 1999, a stag was shot here with 16.25 kg antlers - the biggest trophy in Baranya County! In September 2006 a stag with antlers weighing 14.61 kg was shot, which was the biggest trophy in Hungary for that year.
It is remarkable that the roe deer population in this area is the best in the whole of Baranya County. The best trophy weighed 678 g with small skull. In the hunting season 2006 the best trophy was 527 g.
The wild boar population is not particularly valuable, and more importance is placed on single hunts in the 200 ha wild boar fenced area and the hunting in this area. Here hunts with 100 wild boars are in such high demand that the hunting dates need to be booked for several years in advance.
Further, the tradition of the hunting horn and the use of hounds is cultivated. The area has excellent.


Accommodation: The Békáspuszta Hunting Lodge lies in a 3 ha park. The lodge has 13 bedrooms with varied categories and can accommodate satisfactorily large groups of hunters. The service and the quality of the accommodation and food are excellent and so far there were no complaints. Families are also welcome as the price reductions for children shows. There is a well looked after tennis court available for all guests. If required, horse riding programmes can be arranged.



Sightseeing: There are many interesting trips available for families and groups. Exploring Villány, one of the best wine areas in the country, and a wine degustation there should not be missed. Harkány, one of the most famous Spa's in Hungary, offers interested guests the opportunity to relax in both summer and winter. The centre of Pécs, the cultural capital of the area, offers many interesting sights but also a trip to the small towns of Dél-Dunántúl (South Transdanubien) is a good idea.


Extras: The airport at Pogány, opened in 2006, is about 25 km from the hunting lodge. Transfers can be arranged.

The main goal of this hunting area is to offer demanding hunters, who prefer to hunt the traditional way, an unforgettable hunting experience.
